UConn's annual Husky Cup Competition is open to all traditional Shotokan karateka. The Husky Cup is a "friendly dojo competition" for all ranks, sex and ages. There will be individual kata and kumite only (no team events). See Details of Competition below. Black belts who do not wish to compete are invited to get much needed judging experience. There will be separate events for adult brown and black belt women and for children ages 9-13 and 5-8. The purpose of this competition is to learn and to HAVE FUN! Thus, we encourage all to attend.

Brown/black belt cost for the camp is only $25.00! (white/green/children $15;  Judges FREE!). If you wish to stay at a motel contact the Inn on Storrs (formerly Best Western; phone 860-423-8451), about 6 mi. south of campus on Rt. 195). Instructors, please e-mail me by WED NOVEMBER 15 (pay at the door). Let me know: 1) the number of people and what days they will be attending, 2) whether they are competing or judging, and 3) the names, ranks, ages and sexes of competitors. If you have any questions or problems, email or call me.
